Our team works year-round to inspire participation and generosity in our community. Your support enables us to provide ongoing help to vulnerable youth and emerging adults throughout the St. John's metro region.
There's lots of room for you to join in and make a difference, either as a community member or by joining the CFY team. Drop off a donation of much-needed items, bring a group of friends to one of our fun events, or host your own fundraiser!
coldest night
of the year
A fun, family-friendly walk that raises money for the hungry, homeless, and hurting in over 100 communities across Canada. For the February 2022 virtual walk, CFY rallied over 25 teams, over 150 walkers, and raised over $46,000!
Thank you to everyone who joined Choices for Youth this year in fundraising, donating, and walking. We can't wait to walk together in-person in February 2022!

This non-elimination calendar ticket lottery gives you 36 chances to WIN! If you love local cuisine, are a self-proclaimed "foodie", or love to try new activities and adventures, this is the lottery for you!
Ticket sales run from late summer into early fall each year, with prize draws happening every month from October-September.
Winning never tasted so good!

a wicked time
A Wicked Time is a festive night of music, fundraising, and FUN during the autumn season.
With music, raffles, a silent auction, and costume contest, this event is one of CFY's most anticipated each year -- it's not called A Wicked Time for nothing!
This year's A Wicked Time - Vintage Carnival was cancelled. Stay tuned for more information aboout 2023!
Have a special occasion like a birthday, shower, or anniversary coming up? Have an idea for a dinner, tournament, or auction? You can host your own fundraising event for CFY!
Individuals and groups across the province have turned great reasons to come together into important contributions to the work of Choices for Youth.
We can give you hints, tips, and information. Ask us how simple it can be!

So many of our programs run on the generosity of the St. John's community, and we always appreciate donations of items like clothing, stationary, and hygiene products.
Other gifts related to community activities can also make a real difference. Items like sports equipment, musical instruments, art supplies, or even pumpkins, skates, and gardening supplies all give youth opportunities to come together, build community, and develop new skills!

Volunteers play a vital role in helping us make a difference in the lives of young people. We are proud to have a network of volunteers that provide programming support, help in our community kitchen, provide expertise and leadership, and to help organize fundraisers and community events.
