Choices for Youth (CFY) is a professional service, youth-focused, non-profit, charitable organization that creates spaces and conversations and operates programs and social enterprises to help vulnerable youth secure stable housing, employment, and education while improving health and family stability. With a focus on prevention, intervention, and support, we help youth and their families break cycles of poverty and homelessness and transition to healthy, stable, and independent lives. CFY is presently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Director of Education, Employment & Social Enterprise (EESE) and Human Resources, this position is both full-time and permanent.

The Human Resources Manager will provide leadership, oversight, and support the Organization in these eight key areas:
Human Resources and Organizational Operations
Human Resources Information Systems
Benefits and OH&S
Wellness, People and Culture
Scheduling and Workforce Optimization
Human Resources Team Management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in human resources or labor/industrial relations and/or equivalent experience.
A CPHR designation is required
Three (3) to five (5) years of recent related experience in Human Resources, with at least two (2) years of recent and related experience specializing in labor relations, preferably in a unionized environment.
Full understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Labour Standards Act, the Labour Relations Act, and the Human Rights Act.
Experience in non-for-profits would be considered an asset.
A Valid Drivers license and access to a vehicle
A satisfactory record of Conduct/Vulnerable Sector Check
The position will work 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Flexibility in work hours will be required to accommodate higher work volumes and organizational requirements.
The salary for this position will be $ 73,455.20 - 76,949.60 annually. Choices for Youth offers a competitive compensation package, including a health and dental program, employer-matched RRSP, and four weeks’ vacation to qualifying employees.
