Wellness Resources

The global pandemic has brought on increased challenges for everyone. At times you may feel worried or anxious, and that’s okay. Finding outlets to share our feelings and resources to help us cope will be key as we all try to stay well and healthy. Below you will find some great tools and resources to support mental and physical wellbeing. We hope that you are able to incorporate one of these into your current wellness toolbox.

Mental Health Support & Resources
  • Bridge the Gapp – Bridge the gApp is an online resource designed to support mental wellness.

  • Text FRONTLINE to 741741 to speak to a Crisis Responder

  • Mindwell Drop-in Sessions - Offering free live drop-in guided mindfulness practice with a Mindwell Faculty member. Register via Bridge the Gapp and access drop-in classes at https://app.mindwellu.com/dropin. Available: Mon 1:30pm, Wed 4:30pm, Fri 1:30pm.

  • Breathing Room – BreathingRoom is an online program for youth and young adults who want to learn new ways to manage symptoms, stress, anxiety, and depression.

  • Mental Health and the COVID-19 Pandemic by CAMH – Designed to help people with concerns and questions about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their lives and mental wellbeing.

  • Mental Health First Aid Self Care and Resilience Guide – Building self-care into your daily or weekly routine can greatly improve resilience and prevent burnout.

  • Hope for Wellness – The Hope for Wellness Help Line offers immediate mental health counselling and crisis intervention to all Indigenous peoples across Canada. https://www.hopeforwellness.ca/ or 1-855-242-3310

  • CHANNAL Warm Line – Non-emergency, non-crisis telephone support between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., 7 days a week at 1-855-753-2560 or 753-2560.

  • Fitness Blender – Online videos with over 500 free workouts categorized by length, difficulty, training type, muscles used, and more.

  • NL Public Library – Use the digital library to access e-books, audio books, newspapers, and magazines that can be checked out over the Internet.

  • Live Puppy Cam – Get your fix of adorable puppies and let your mind relax. 

  • CFY Self-Care Bingo – Complete all the squares on the score card!

  • Calm – The #1 app for sleep, meditation and relaxation.

  • Your Glowing Health recipes – Oatmeal cookie bites, red lentil hummus, and monkey coffee to help nourish your body and mind.
